In the City of Los Angeles, there is a Main street. Equidistant to the east and west of Main Street are Eastern Ave and Western Ave, respectively. To see more, click here. LA really isn't too big, by car, but think about when it was established in the 1800's. The span from Western to Eastern must have been insurmountable, you'd never get from one to the other if you were an average person.
Now it's just congested traffic and neighborhood biases that keep you from traveling east to west or vice versa.

Citibank is failing so they are raising interest rates on credit cards, just because they can. That's ok for Pkin and I; we have one Citi account each, both without balances. But what about the people who are barely making payments on their accounts? They might be trying to make ends meet with housing costs and now with more credit card payments it's just worse. Now they may default on home loans, that will impact Citi's bad investments, and Citi will raise rates more, and people will default, and so on and so on and so on.

TypePad has been open for at least three hours and nothing comes to me. I want to share how Pumpkin made a reference to Pride and Prejudice that would have made even the most hard-core Austenite swoon, but I forget the details. I really don't want to talk about our new storm doors but that's the newest thing in my life. Do you want to read about Beverly Hills Chihuahua? I would recommend matinee pricing but still, a good time was had.
My feet still hurt, but I'm tempted to put them into sandals any way. I'm not icing them enough and I'm tired of not exercising - when I finally have a real excuse.
Oh, oh, oh! I heard, on talk radio, that people who are unhappy watch a third more television than people who are happy. But they couldn't decide if watching TV makes you unhappy or if being unhappy makes you watch more TV. What else in life comes down to "the chicken and the egg"?
The week starts on Monday because God rested on the seventh day. Mondays can be overwhelming days because it's so full of promise but I'm only the same person I was on Sunday night. Perhaps I need to get to sleep earlier on Sunday. What great ideas pop into your head just as you are drifting off to sleep on Sunday night?
