Do you remember back in school when there was one kid who always got way with everything? They got extra help from the teacher, more time and patience. It's hard to say if this person was really the smartest person in the classroom but he or she probably felt that way.
I do like being and not being a Teacher's Pet.
I think you were probably the teacher's pet most of the time.
