Real life or not....
I'm driving down a road, it's more rural than anything and my youngest aunts are in the car, Boo is there and then not there. We're looking for a bakery, for cake specifically. The road seems to veer to the right but we need to go left.
Now we're walking on a trail, it's smooth but slightly upward moving. I'm with Mom. There are people on a slope. It's a health fair, given by a division of the company I work for. Since it's a "sister" business, we can participate. They are measuring hemoglobin levels, very simply with drops of blood falling in small glass tubes (not beakers or test tube, but that other chemistry lab staple whose name is lost on me). The more hemoglobin or iron you have, the heavier your blood is and your drop will fall in the watery solution.
I'm walking through the process, talking to "co-workers." We're in Arizona I think. Mom meets someone and they talk about vacation travel; they are exchanging contact info and Mom's mentioning her brothers who live in Texas and New Mexico. Then Mom realizes that she can be tested too. And I wait as she walks up to the stations, along an even more steeply sloping trail. Then I wake up.
What does it all mean? Do I love my benefits?
