In an ideal world I would have all my facts before I open my mouth or click my keyboard, but who lives in an ideal world. I'm reading a book that is titled something like, Size 12 is Not Fat. Pkin noticed the title, again. He looked askance when I picked it up at the membership warehouse and now the book is home and I'm reading it, usually in bed.
Last night, I shared a story about "fatness and men" with him: When I was in college I had a roommate who was a size three, at that time I was a 9 (ages ago and for a short period of time.) I hung something in the closet and commented about wow, she's a three and I'm a nine. The soon-to-be ex-boyfriend added that I must be three times as large as she. That was the beginning of the end with this guy and my time.
After I shared what really was just an exchange, Pkin commented that he would be ecstatic with a nine. I said something about, nine inches would be very nice.
It isn't looking good for either Pkin or I and our "Nine's".
Friends has a scene where Ross and Rachel talk about size, and how it doesn't matter, and how that works both ways.
Uhm, I wonder what Pkin will have to say as I continue to read the book and continue to lose weight.
He's lost weight as I have; I don't cook as much for him nor do I go out with him as often. He's still bigger than his "special" clothes, you know, the ones he doesn't like wearing but I like seeing him in. Men's Wearhouse sent a discount card in the mail; I offered to go shopping with him. He was not amused.
What are the averages for US men and women? Just curious. I might see what Google can tell me.
