Last week I was driving near the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles; I didn't go as far as Western so I can't really say I was in Mid-Wilshire. I'm sure the area now has a distinct name, based upon the current resident demographic. Anyway, there are very interesting things to see in this general area.
First, Rampart is a very wide street that bears no resemblance to a place you would have built a rampart (a defensive wall.) Next, there is a Korean Philadelphia Presbyterian Church sitting out on a street corner, off the major arterial in a high density residential area. Lastly, though I'm sure there are many more interesting things to note, there is small branch library located at the edge of park. It's made of brick in earthquake country and probably has the largest collection of Korean soap operas on DVD outside of Seoul.
