Observations, Mostly on (Under)Clothing

VPL is one thing women strive to avoid.  It's probably why thongs were invented.  But have you seen a generous and unbounded behind secured only by a tiny thread?  It's not a pretty sight.

Another issue for women is what to wear under a white top.  Ironically a white bra is the least attractive thing you can choose, especially if the top is super tight.  It looks like you're wearing a large bandage.  Today I saw a young women, with ample bosoms in a white strapless bra under a skin tight polyester body suit type top.  It bounced, it jiggled, but I gave her points for trying to avoid visible bra strap. 

I've got safety pin-like things holding my bra straps out of view in the my tank-top top that is under a sweater.  Talk about obsessive!

Another thing I observed today is that my butt is not as large as my abdomen.  My panties have ample behind material when they fit well at the lower belly. 

Another thing I observed today was a woman in the restroom talking on the phone.  She had a handsfree attachment, it was a great I-phone or something very like it.  I saw it when she and I out of our respective stalls.  It was unsettling to walk into a stall and hear someone talking, as though to you.  Then I realized it wasn't English, and I wondered how she was going to explain the flushing.  I can only guess it turned out OK!

Where are the tax cuts!?!

My take home pay is reduced this week.  The California state withholding tables have changed.  How innocuous that sounds?!?  It means less money gets home each week.

Matching Panties

I'm wearing grey plaid with blue slacks and a bright peacock blue sweater and powder blue panties!

Could I be more color coordinated?  Sadly, yes, I do not have a blue bra on, but I do own one.  Mom, what would you say?

The Double Edged Sword

I'm trying to eat wisely (Pkin, no comment about my dinner part II) and I'm making all sorts of decisions some are no-brainers, and I'm not necessary choosing those.  Of course, if I have the option of playing on Farm Town or walking on the trendmill, which am I choosing?

One of the decisions are less simple.  Should I eat all the cheesy sauce on my leftover baked potato or should I add salt?  Both weight and salt increase my blood pressure, but which is the better of two bad choices?  This is a question for Weight Watchers, maybe to get my money's worth.

More OMG

The tech let me leave the building with a blob of electrode gel dead center on my forward at the hairline.  Imagine Hindi, 1 inch high - in white globby gel.  I felt something when I got into the car, and saw it in the mirror.  The McDonald's drive-thru manager, who was Hindu, didn't see it.  But that is another story!

OMG!

Sleep studies suck! 

I'm exhausted.  I got even fewer hours of sleep than I normally do; the normal 4-5.5 hours I usually get each night are not continuous but they are in my own bed with my own sounds and my own pillow and my own mattress.  The sleep study people should come to your own house to see you in real action.

And, my car was sprinklered on!  Darn, I spent big bucks to wash it this weekend.

Am I being too grouchy?

Call In

I must call in today after 5:00 PM to learn if I've wanted on Tuesday.  Also, LA County courthouses are being furloughed on the third Wednesday of each month, starting July 15, except the one I'm potentially going to.  Go Figure!

Oh, I have a virtual pet on Facebook.  No one will play with her while I'm work.  It's a tragedy.

Olivia and Mom

My mom is very friendly.  She was raised in a world without "stranger danger."  She loves little kids too.  Mix this all up and you get interesting stories.

Olivia and her dad moved into a house on her block.  Olivia is pre-school aged and very cute, so I've been told.

Olivia and her dad were admiring Mom's dog.  He mentioned that he moved into the neighborhood recently, and Mom said she noticed.  He moved into her old friends' house.  He asked where they had moved to.  Mom responded, "the Cemetery."

I laughed and laughed when I heard the story.  How is Olivia's dad doing to explain that one?!?

Jury Duty

We don't call it jury responsibility or service or civic right.  It's boring, long waits and a masquerade of justice most of the time.  But it's one the things that is supposed to make our country the best in all the world.  Your fate is decided by a group of your peers and you have a right to this.

I might have to go on Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday, etc.  We have on-call service.  You serve either five call-in days, one day in person or as many days as a case lasts.  If you recall Pkin had a challenge with a day stretching into two last month.  I need to call this weekend to determine my fate.  Maybe I should look up who is "C. Shortridge Foltz" for whom the courthouse is named. 

I think someone rather significant said not to trust a man with an initial for a first name.  What is he hiding?  What is "C" hiding!?!

Toothpaste and Apple Sauce

I know, I know.  I should have apples and not sauce.  Sauce lasts in your work drawer way longer than the whole fruit!  It's no sugar added, 1 point a serving. 

The odd thing is that I wasn't particularly hungry until I decided to freshen my breath by brushing my teeth.  Then the hungry gnawed.

Now I have the taste of apples with an aftertaste of Pronamel.  Yum!
