You know when your monogamous significant other has an incredible crush on a celebrity, and is so enamoured of their pulchritude (an ugly looking word for physical beauty) and would risk all that you and your loved one have together for one night of sin -- and you'd let him, that is called a "free pass."
Pkin loves, loves, loves Jennifer Anniston (which is one of the reasons he b!tches and moans about how often I watch Friends reruns and DVDs but still sits there watching too.) He would throw our love away for one night with her. So technically, it isn't a free pass but he'd want it to be.
There is not anyone I would do the same for, I think. Or perhaps I haven't seen that person yet. Or maybe it's a key difference between men and women. But what about same-sex couples? In the cartoons recently, Nine Chickweed Lane had a sub-plot with a gay man who cheated with a non-celebrity crush. The other gay man in the couple was CRUSHed, not in the same way.
Sure I like Eric Clapton from the late seventies and even early eighties, but really? Colin Ferguson is nice looking and, as PsychoBunny alluded to in her comment, seems to have a wry sense of humor that hints at a great intelligence. This must be a seventies song, the words say, "oh, it's sad to belong to someone else when the right one comes along." There's another, more recent song that says something like, (as the guy is on the phone) "my girl's in the next room, I wish she were you." Kind of a slant rhyme with a cheater's twist!
Just for the record, Pkin is a damn fine looking hunk of man!
When I was "involved" we used to say that we would have to do the other one's crush before we would let them spend a night with said crush. Later it was confirmed that he was already doing any number of women, none of whom I would have wanted to do myself. That was so many celibate years ago. But I don't understand Jennifer Aniston ... really?

Errr ... the first sentence should read "... we would have to want to do the other one's ..." not that we actually had to do the other one's crush. (blush)
