I think the song says, "Good girls don't, but I do." Now there's a book telling us to be bad to get what we want, Good Girls Don't Get the Corner Office. Just yesterday I read a survey report that said people do not have an aversion to having a male bosses any more than having a female boss, which is a change from past findings. And now this! Do only the Witches with a capital B make it to the decision-making table?
Yikes, I read another something about bad bosses, let me find that one to share. Here it is, from the Human Equation. Some of the results were:
- 39% noted that their supervisor failed to keep promises;
- 37% reported that their supervisor failed to give credit when due; and
- 31% of respondents reported that their supervisor gave them the “silent treatment” in the past year.
Sheesh! Why come to work? Your family can give you the same level of support, or not. Just kidding. I'm going to library and steal this book. Now that would make a statement and move me on to my path of non-nice-girl-ness.
