How fast should you reply to emails? You get an email, and you respond between meetings, other work and lunch. But sometimes you're at your desk and the email comes in, you respond and then other person responds immediately. Do you have to do the same?
From a time management perspective, you should be bucketing your email and/or phone time so that you can focus on one task at a time. But from a multi-tasking world, you're doing it all, all of the time.
Just curious, if I respond immediately, will people think that I have nothing better to do than emails?
No, if you respond immediately people will just think you happened to be at your desk attending to emails.
